Today’s exclusive comes courtesy of The Glass coinciding with the release of their ‘Wanna Be Dancin’ single on iTunes and 12” last week. The remix we have however, will not be found anywhere on the afformentioned sources, this track driven by dreamy synths is brought all the way from Aussie boys Clubfeet.
Listening to the original track, I was quite impressed with it, not quite a banger (although the hilarious Lego rave video would suggest otherwise), but sure to get you dancing or keep you dancing at either end of a huge night. Clubfeet tone down the tune by bringing out the dreamy synths and placing less emphasis on the ravey beat from the original. The blend of the soft vocal stylings, often echoed, hypnotising tones and drum beat (which you almost forget is there) will leave you all chilled forgetting about space and time completely.
In fact the best way to describe the remix is hypnotic…its the sort of thing you would expect to hear playing in a psychadelic fortune teller booth in the distant future, with dimmed lights and various fabrics draped over walls that are probably as sub-ordinary as the back alley that led you to this most trippiest of establishments. Not saying that its a bad thing at all, the remix goes for a distinct style and nails it.
