Joakim is making a video for the stand-out track on Milky Ways, and you can put your bright shining face in it front and center. It’s a karaoke video contest, which reminds me a bit of the video Ladyhawke did with her friends and family, but this one is open to everyone! Here’s the details:
WE WANT YOU TO MAKE YOUR OWN INTERPRETATION OF SPIDERS AND TO MAKE A VIDEO OF YOUR PERFORMANCE. YOU MAY SING THE SONG, ALONE, WITH YOUR SISTER, WITH YOUR PET, PLAY THE SONG WITH A BANJO OR A TRUMPET, DANCE TO THE SONG, WHISTLE THE MELODY, DO AIR GUITAR OR WHATEVER. YOU MAY USE A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA AS WELL AS A CHEAP PHONE TO SHOOT THE VIDEO.
WE WILL ACCEPT THESE VIDEO FORMATS : MOV, AVI, MP4, MPEG.
WHEN YOUR VIDEO IS READY, SEND A LINK (USING YOUSENDIT, MEGAUPLOAD, SEND THIS FILE OR ANY OTHER FILE SHARING SYSTEM) TO :

In other news, the new 2020 Soundsystem album is pretty great! It’s interesting how accessible it is considering the label’s output is usually pretty straight up deep house. Here’s my favorite track so far, a driving, dreamlike beauty that could go on forever, something perfect for your evenings or mornings or 4am walks home. It’s really good.
