Here, I know you’ve got a lot going on (especially in Canada, I gather it’s some sort of holiday weekend, there’s a lightness in the air, etc.) so I’ll keep this brief. Four remixes, a nice, lazy weekend afternoon, and I hope you have some good coffee with you right now or maybe something with cider and rye whiskey and hot sauce to really make the most of your day. Maybe? I don’t know. Things are so crazy, I’m sure you know how that works.
What do you have, here? My pick of the massive stash of remixes of the new Röyksopp single, this one a really nice turn from Kompakt’s (well, he’s released on K2 and Extra, so that’s close enough) Maxime Dangles. We’ve also got a beatiful remix by one of my bands of the month, Lake Heartbeat, their first as far as I can tell, and the first taste of What Kind of Breeze Do You Blow’s debut ep. There’s a really nicely textured remix by Allez Allez of the new Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris project It’s A Fine Line out on the house label of Frankfurt club Robert-Johnson. Finally, man-of-the-everywhere Andy Meecham delivers exactly what you would expect and want from an Emperor Machine remix of the new Midnight Juggernauts track, so let’s give him a hand. See also: his new remix for Annie, out now on Itunes.
Have some fun tonight, whatever you’re doing.
